Yorkshire Air Ambulance

The Yorkshire Air Ambulance can be airborne in two minutes and travels at speeds up to 154mph. This means its paramedics can give urgent treatment to patients in most need, followed by rapid transfer to hospital. Areas that are difficult or impossible for road ambulances to reach can be accessed quickly and smoothly.

The Yorkshire Air Ambulance relies solely on the generosity of individuals and organisations to help it continue its life-saving work. The charity needs nearly £7,000 per day to keep the helicopters and highly trained crew in the air. That's the equivalent of £2.5 million every single year. It's a tall order, but with over 1,000 incidents requiring emergency assistance each year, many lives have been saved across the region.

Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance

The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance Charity was launched in October 2005.

On 1st July 2007, the Air Ambulance became operational and is now flying several missions every day. Many are life saving.

The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance Charity relies entirely on voluntary donations, and for this vital service to succeed, it needs to raise more than £65,000 every month: that's over £2,000 every day.

None of us know when we may need its help. Airborne within three minutes of a 999 call, the Air Ambulance can reach most of its operational area within fifteen minutes. It needs an area only half the size of a tennis court to be able to land.

Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance

The new aircraft is a Eurocopter EC 135 which is larger and offers a quicker and smoother flight, ensuring that all our patients receive the best possible journey to hospital.

The Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance has been busily fundraising for the last 2 years to enable them to upgrade to the new generation aircraft.

Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance came into service in March 2000. It responds mostly to emergency calls such as sporting and road traffic accidents due to the remote locations and the kind of injuries sustained. On average it receives 3 or 4 calls per day, it is deployed by the Ambulance service.

The helicopter flies at 140 mph and can land in an area half the size of a tennis court making it an ideal recourse for the Ambulance service to send to some of the areas needed.

The Aircraft is leased from Bond Helicopters and costs in excess of £3,500 per day to run, this money has to be raised largely from charitable donations from the counties of Dorset and Somerset and beyond.

Whizz Kidz

Whizz-Kidz is a charity that is all about giving disabled children the chance to lead a more independent life. The service meets their individual mobility needs and ensures they get the right mobility equipment, advice and training at the right time.

Whizz-Kidz is virtually 100% reliant on voluntary funds raised through events, trusts, companies and individuals, and they need your support to raise more money so that more young people can lead an active childhood.
