How we raise funds

Many people often wonder how the relationship works between our company and our partner charities, and how the funds are raised, so here it is in a nutshell...

We collect and resell your unwanted donations to markets in the UK and overseas, where demand for quality, second-hand items is high. For more on this, see our What We Recycle page.

We provide all the resources needed to run our recycling schemes, such as staff, vehicles, warehousing, bring banks and all the usual overheads necessary to run a business; the whole infrastructure. This means our partner charities do not have any costs to pay, for any of the schemes.

Once we have sold your donated goods, the funds are calculated for the charities from the gross sale of the product (the charity that you choose to donate, will receive the funds from the sale of your recycled, unwanted items). An agreed percentage of the sale is allocated immediately to the charity, whilst we cover the operational costs of the recycling schemes. This means that the charities do not have to rely on profit and loss, whilst receiving sustainable funding on a monthly basis.

And ... as each charity's recycling scheme grows and the amount of donations increase, so does the percentage paid to each charity!
