The Essex Air Ambulance is a charity providing a free life-saving Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) across the County. A large proportion of missions are trauma victims.
Trauma is a leading cause of death among children and young adults and a major cause of disability. Their highly skilled teams of Doctors & Paramedics play an integral role in reducing disability and death from trauma.
It costs in the region of £250,000 every month to cover all charitable costs and aircraft operations. Thanks to the generosity and goodwill of the people and businesses of the County, the service remains operational.
