Recycling To Change Lives
Wigan Warriors Community Foundation is a charitable trust set up by the Warriors to develop Rugby League across Wigan and the surrounding areas. Its target was to raise in excess of £200,000 in its first year to support the groundbreaking educational and community programmes that it operates.
The charity aims to promote community participation in healthy recreation, by providing facilities for the playing of Rugby League and other sports capable of improving health for such persons who have a need for these facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disability, poverty or social and economic circumstances.
The foundation also caters for the public at large in the interests of social welfare and with the objective of improving their conditions of life, as well as helping to advance the education of children and young people through such means as the trustees think fit, in accordance with the law of charity.
