RECYCLE THE ISLAND 2010
25th September 2010

SATURDAY 25th SEPTEMBER 2010
Opening: 9am Closing: 6pm
RECYCLE THE ISLAND 2010 is a fun cycling event which will take place on the Isle of Wight to generate public awareness of the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance charity and Bag It Up’s textile recycling schemes that generate over £20,000 a month for the charity.
There are 2 routes available; a 15 mile BLUE route and a
50 mile RED route for those wanting a bigger challenge! These routes will take you past several of the textile banks that raise significant funds for the Air Ambulance, there will also be a fun series of questions for you to find the answers to!
Registration fee: £10 to help raise funds for this life-saving charity.
We encourage all entrants and members of the public to come and say hello – it is the Hampshire and Isle of Wight communities that keep the Air Ambulance flying; without your continued support, it wouldn’t be where it is today!
Routes
Both routes will be heavily sign posted, you can also download a map and detailed description of each route below to help you along the way. We recommend that on the day, you sign in and start your route before 12 o'clock midday.

Sponsorship
There are two ways you can raise money for the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance. The first is to download a
SPONSORSHIP FORM and collect the money as you go. Your sponsorship form can then be posted to the charity along with a cheque (before the event date, 25/09/10) or you can bring the form and the money with you on the day to hand to the fundraisers at Tesco Ryde.
The second is to set up a ‘justgiving’ account and get people to sponsor you online! It’s really simple to do and stops you worrying about collecting the money. Visit the website justgiving.co.uk then in the ‘Find a charity’ box enter the number 1106234, click on the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance and go to ‘Make your page’, click 'An organised event' and choose 'ReCycle The Island 2010', the rest is all explained online.
Start your fundraising today – GOOD LUCK!
