What we can turn into money
BAG IT UP has partnered with one of the leading mobile phone recyclers to ensure that your old mobile phone, iphone, or ipod can raise money for charity, as well as helping to reduce landfill, and potentially toxic waste.
There are over 50 million unwanted or unused mobile phones currently in this country. This equates to approximately 5,000 tonnes of waste, some of which is toxic and could end up in a landfill.
Mobile phones place a huge burden on the world's natural resources. Crude oil, metals, and their manufacturing processes all take their toll. Recycled mobile phones provide communications for developing countries, businesses and the public and also helps to preserve and protect the environment for future generations.
You have a choice of ways to recycle your mobile phone
1. Put them in the post
You can request a freepost envelope or download the freepost address label for you to attach to an envelope. Simply place your phones in the envelope and drop them in a local post box.
To download a freepost address label, click on the charity logo below, or copy the freepost address shown onto your envelope.
Please do not put your charger in the envelope, as the cost of postage may outweigh the value of the phone.
Remember, good quality working mobile phones increase the funds raised for the charity. e.g. A Nokia 6230i = £15.

2. Arrange a Collection
If you are planning to collect more than 20 mobile phones you can request a mobile phone recycling box for your place of work, and then arrange for them to be picked up, by calling us on 0870 321 5505, or by using our Contact Us page. If we are collecting the mobile phones we can also accept your chargers, if available.
